Loving the Sand

The kids and I spent the day playing in the sand and water. I lubed the kids up before we left but poor Parker still got burned. He was so proud of his red arms and loved the after sun lotion I put on him after his bath. Farmer tans are so attractive!!

Speaking of baths.....I got Parker clean as a whistle

and asked him to go get his clothes on while I

finished helping his sisters wash their hair.

I turned around and found this....

naked as a jaybird sitting in the sand on the deck.

Seriously, I just got the sand out of all the

cracks and crevices and had to do it again.

Silly boy!!

Spring Break

Today was a beautiful day. Sunny and 88 degrees. It's Spring Break and the kids are out of school for 11 days. Jeff had the afternoon off so we headed to the beach. It was a wonderful day and we all got a little sunburned. I really should remember to re-apply sunblock!!

Maddie is really getting brave on the boogie board

She caught a lot of great waves. She's just about ready
to stand on it.....that is next weeks challenge

Lauren was afraid to try the board at first but after
she got the hang of it, she spent the rest of the
day in the ocean riding the waves

She was so PROUD of herself and rightfully so!!

Parker tried once and got dumped on his head so
he decided to sit in the chair and watch

Maddie's friend Sophia ended up being our

neighbor at the beach today. It was fun
for Maddie to have a friend to play with

Parker loves to dig holes. The task today
was to dig a very DEEP hole

It kept him busy for hours and made it an
easy beach day for me and Jeff
