Learning to fly

Parker loves wearing his Superman outfit-
Today he got a few tips from dad on how to fly.

It's a good thing because his sisters did this...

and Parker felt like this...

Guess it's time to invest in some manly gear!!!

A few moments later....

Moments after I made the post about "Connor's House" Parker came running to me crying. I asked him what was wrong and I was a bit worried because he was holding his tummy and showing me his mouth. I thought for sure he had thrown up but I was wrong. This is what happened......

Showing me the inside of his mouth

Pointing to where his tummy hurts

Uh-ho, there's a dime missing. Parker ate it and
it freaked him out. He really wanted me to get it
out of his belly. I assured him it would all work
out ok in the end....ha, ha, ha, funny me!

Connor's House

Parker has many cousins that live in Utah but whenever he talks about going to see cousins he always refers to "Connor's House". Never mind the fact that other cousins and an aunt and uncle live in the same house as Connor. It always has been and always will be "Connor's House". This past week Parker has been on a "Connor's House" kick. He asks a million times a day to go to "Connor's House". He even has a song he sings......Connor's House, Connor's House, Connor's House......sing, sing, sing. If only it were that easy....jump in the car and drive there in just a few minutes. Finally I had a chat with Parker Boy and told him we can't go because we don't have enough money to get there. Parker disappeared for a few minutes and when I found him, he was on my bed counting money. He said, "See mom, I have money. Now we can go to Connor's House!!"

Parker is proud of the money he collected

If only .66 cents was enough!!

Dancing with the Stars

It's that time of year again.....the daddy daughter dance at school. The theme was "Dancing with the Stars" so I asked my wonderfully talented mother so sew flapper dresses for the girls. Thanks mom.....you did a GREAT job. Lauren doesn't go to the same school as Maddie but I sent her to the dance anyway. They had a great time!!

They were very excited to be dressed up
Notice the fish net tights. The girls loved them

Don't they look great?

Laughing pictures are my favorite

This is the "pioneer face pose"
Made famous by Aunt Jill

In order to get into the dance hall, the kids
had to go through a limo. They stepped
out on to a red carpet complete
with paparazzi

Then they were asked questions
by the "reporters"

....and finally, one last shot like the
Movie Stars

Mom also made Jeff a matching tie.
It was a cold night and by this point the
girls were tired of taking pictures.

At the dance Maddie found some of her friends

and the best part of all...
eating Cold Stone ice-cream

Dr. Seuss

This past week was Dr. Seuss week at Maddie's school. Each day they had something different and fun happening. On Friday the kids got to dress up as their favorite Dr. Seuss character. Maddie chose the Cat in the Hat. Of course, she did!! She loves animals!

Meeeeeowww

Artsy Fartsy

Maddie is very artistic so we enrolled her in an after school art class. She's half way through the class and she LOVES it. It's the highlight of her week. She's learned a lot of great techniques and I can't wait to see what she creates in her next class. I think we just might have a Picasso on our hands!! Here's a couple of her masterpieces.

32 Candles

What's the best way to spend your 32nd birthday???

Surrounded by your family while napping
in your new chair at the beach. It was
warm and sunny and perfect!!

HOWEVER....
The nap was cut short due to the kids
wanting to perform on the surfboard.
Nope, not in the water....on the sand.

First Parker did a few tricks

Then Lauren struck a pose. She just doesn't
understand that she won't be able to catch
a wave standing like that....BUT she sure
looks great and it's good practice for
when she becomes a fashion star.

Finally, Maddie had her turn. Perfect form to
paddle yourself out far enough to catch some waves.
If only, they were in the water...silly kids!!

Parker loved playing with his car while....

the girls played in the water. They were so tough
because the water was bitter cold. Didn't stop them!

36...I mean 34 years young

Since I am determined to make the "Allred Memories 2011" book an easy task this year, I am blogging EVERYTHING as it happens in our lives. Even if it means I blog about my own birthday. So yes, here it is. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AIM, SIS, E, HONEY, AMY, MOM.........

Today I turned 36. What?? I don't really feel 36. I feel more like.........34. You see Jeff is exactly 4 years and 4 days younger than me so I decided that it would be ok if I give Jeff two of my years. That way he can be a little older and I can be a little younger. So this year we both celebrate year 34. Since I was able to do what I wanted to do today I spent the day doing nothing. No laundry, no cooking, no cleaning, no discipling children, no chores....you get the idea. I did the bare minimum I could to make sure the kids were taken care of and that was it. I started my day out with breakfast in bed, thanks Jeff, jumped into a quick shower, and spent the rest of my day in my pajamas hanging out with my bffs. I received a few gifts and lots of birthday wishes. It was a great day!! Thanks everyone!

Baby Amy....awww, I was so cute

Chocolate is my weakness!!

A big thanks to my boys

My bffs.....love these kids!
