We headed to Utah again this year for Christmas but we decided to shake things up a bit. Since our van is such a GAS HOG we decided to make the 12 hour trek in our trusty ole Honda. Yes, that's right our little tiny Honda. How in the world did we do that you ask? Well, it was easy. Since we are all Super Heros, we used our powers and packed lightly, sat tightly, and didn't fightly. Ok, that last part isn't a real word but it rhymed and there was no fighting. AMAZING I know but it went like this......we left home at 2 am. Maddie and Jeff in the front. Parker, Lauren and I in the back. The kids slept almost the whole first half. We had to stop for gas and a quick snack. Then we drove until Cedar City where we ate lunch. The next thing we knew we were at GRANDMAS and boy was it COLD! Let the good times begin!!!

Jeff is such a great driver!!
Hands at 10 and 2

Maddie was great at sitting "shot gun"

Parker was so sleeeepy...

Lauren was too and I was a great pillow

The first night was the Helm family
Christmas - dance party.

The Chicken Dance is always so fun

Parker....well, he wasn't sure about it all

ADULT musical chairs....let's just say,
it got PHYSICAL. Fun to watch!!!
Good thing Aunt Jill has such big muscles

It was a looooong day and we were tired!
But we sure had fun....family is so great

Christmas morning was at Grandma Farrell's house
Parker loved his snake and couldn't wait
for more presents. He liked ripping the paper.

Maddie was so excited about her boots

Lauren's lovely bracelet

Then the good stuff....Maddie's i-touch
Thank you black Friday, store credit,

to leap buildings in a single bound and wake
up early to stand in long lines in the cold!!

American Girl doll who looks just
like our sweet little LuLu

The best RC toy car from Toy Story

Next we moved on to the snow activities
Here are my guys getting a good look
at the snow hill. It was a big one!

Lauren making snow angels

First run down the hill was a success

Filling the tube with snow made for a cold bum

Remember the 100 foot slip 'n slide?
Now it is the 100 foot snow hill.
FABULOUS!!

Pile 'O Cuties
I love that the boys were in all red & black
and the girls in all pink. We didn't even plan it
It just happened. We are so good!

Grandpa spent lots of time shoveling while.....

Parker spent a lot of time climbing.
If Grandpa was out....so was Parker.

Catching snowflakes on your tongue...
Love this picture!!

Even though Christmas was over we still
made gingerbread houses.

Grandma helped Lauren

Lauren's masterpiece

Maddie worked alone and from the look
on her face, it was hard work. Love
the tongue hanging out!!

Maddie's Masterpiece

On New Year's Eve, we headed to dinner
with cousins at the Spaghetti Factory

Then went with Aunt Jill to visit Temple Square
Silly girl, her shoes were on the wrong feet

Temple Square on New Years Eve was the
best. Hardly anyone was there and the lights
were amazing! I love Christmas in Utah.
Thanks for all the fun!!
