Maddie officially turned 8 years old on June 2nd. Since we celebrated the weekend before with Grandma and Jill and all her gifts, her actual birthday was small and quiet. We had a great sign in the front yard letting everyone know of the special day

We ate a giant cookie instead of a cake

Opened one gift from grandparents
THANKS!!

THEN.....Maddie really wanted to have a birthday party this year with her friends. Since we've never really had a friend party, I gave in and we set the plans in motion

Another fluffy dog from Shelby

We decorated pink cupcakes

Made flower clips for our hair

Watched movies, ate pizza, and played games

Ended the night with pink candy in a monogramed jar
Overall, it was a very loud, giggly, exciting night. Maddie had a great time and she can't wait to do it all again next year. Hope she isn't too disappointed when she finds out her mother isn't as excited about it as she is. I am anti-birthday party.....such a grinch!!

It looks like she has a pretty nice mom to throw such a fun party. Everything looked darling. You came up with some fun things to do. I'm impressed! Happy Birthday Maddie! It is great to be 8.
thinking about the good ol' days when Maddie & Josh were wee tikes running around chasing ducks at Maymont, co-op nights, and our trips to VA Beach. Where does time go? The party looked like lots of fuN!
Happy Birthday Maddie! I can't believe she's 8. It looks like such a fun party you did for her. Great job Amy!
