SpriNg bREak

My parents came for a visit over Spring Break and we had lots of fun with them. A few of the events included:

* Mom visited the World's Greatest Dentist and had a root canal and an implant all in one day

* Dad and I spent the day making 24 jars of wonderfully delicious strawberry jam

*Dad also made a huge pot of his famous rice pudding that we all loved and gobbled up

*Watched General Conference...or tried to with 3 crazy kids

* We watched the wind blow and the thermostat drop

*Finally the sun came out and we headed to the park

California has turned us into tree huggers

Hey, let me out of here guys

I love the next set of pictures. I didn't realize
that coloring easter eggs was so boring.
ARE WE HAVING FUN YET??

Finally the smiles and giggles came out

I know this picture is blurry but I love it.
Maddie just woke up on Easter morning

The Easter Bunny hid little eggs everywhere for
the kids to gather. They loved it!!

Parker's silly wink

Lauren was so proud of all the eggs she found

favorite kind of chocolate egg

When you visit Southern California it is a must that you go to the ocean. The weather was cold most of the time my parents were in town but on Sunday, we had a few moments of warmth so we headed out to watch the waves. I had a long talk with the children that we WERE NOT playing in the water......just playing in the sand. Here is what happened.....

Parker was a good boy and played with me

Lauren and Maddie did great until Jeff asked
them if they wanted to go for a walk along
the shore with him and grandpa.

They started out great.....still dry
....and you can see from the pictures
what happened...

Obviously too much of a temptation!!
They got completely soaked

Grandma and Grandpa

The Allred Family

...and we sent Grandma and Grandpa back
home with one final silly picture.
